About Us

Today, with its over 40 year experience, Sürsan plays a salient role in aquaculture industry producing sea bass and sea bream that targets premium quality fish demand across Europe.

Sürsan’s mission is to produce premium seabass and seabream through responsible fish farming and respect for the environment with the highest emphasis on ethical and social values.

Quality Insurance

Quality insurance is achieved through the control mechanism that comes from integration. Sürsan controls the quality of its sea bass and sea bream from the earliest stages at the production level of its raw materials that go into the feed. The entire product cycle is controlled until the product reaches the end consumer guaranteeing full traceability.

All of Sürsan production procedures ensure a high standard of food safety through an integrated HACCP system. All microbiological and chemical tests are carried out at the in-house food safety laboratory.

Certificates

BRCGS

International standard that guarantee the standardization of quality, safety and operational criteria, reinsuring clients that manufacturers fulfill their legal obligations and provide protection for the end customer. The scope of the certification includes Avşar Grading and Güllük Processing & Packaging facilities.

Global GAP

International standard that ensures food safety, production under legal requirements, minimal environment impact and compliance with animal welfare and worker health and safety requirements. The scope of the certification includes Sürsan’s whole production chain.

IFS

GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized standard that guarantees safe and high quality products and production process. The scope of the certification includes Avşar Grading and Güllük Processing & Packaging facilities.

SEDEX

International standard that guarantee the standardization of quality, safety and operational criteria, reinsuring clients that manufacturers fulfill their legal obligations and provide protection for the end customer. The scope of the certification includes Avşar Grading and Güllük Packaging & Processing facility.

ASC

The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) was founded in 2010 by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) to provide a world-leading certification programme for the aquaculture industry. The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), and ASC Chain of Custody (CoC) standards covers a wide variety of aquaculture processes globally, and considers both the environmental and social aspects of farming to ensure responsible production. The ASC logo reassures consumers that the seafood they buy is farmed with respect for the environment and local communities. The scope of the certification includes Eren, Ikizadalar 2 and Ada Off Shore farms.
